Cloudwalking

This is an early video and one of the first where I was not showing the musicians at all as they performed. This was a jump for me, from some narrative element to a completely abstract one. I had already edited both a still and a roaming camera into the video, and although I was not able to use the music to trigger any visual effects, I was able to use the footage of the musicians themselves to do that. Though they are not visible, Bruce and Judi’s physical movements while creating the music is triggering the entertaining images you see throughout the video of interlocking, symmetrical motifs, and shifting color palettes. The music is also atmospheric, as if you are passing from one aerial situation to another, with dips in temperature, cloud shapes, wind and color.
