Ingenue

This is the first of our videos working with dancer Hilary Brown. Having been a bit too challenged working in a drab rehearsal studio, we decided to see what would happen with a green screen. We started out setting the screen up with the cloth spread out on the floor, but it soon became apparent that the floor was far too slippery to ask Hilary to make any fast moves with her feet! As a result I shot her from the waist up, and she concentrated arm and hand gestures. This limitation led me to use layers, transparences and filters on her image. I think this is a particularly lovely and lyrical video.
